ABOUT THE AIRLINE : Korean Air first begun as Korean Air Lines in 1962. The airline replaced Korean National Airlines. Until it's privatization in 1969, all international flights were flown with Boeing 707's.

When a blue-top plane was introduced in 1984, the airline changed its name to Korean Air. Two years later, Korean Air was the first airline to use MD-11 in 1986.
