Frequent Flyer Program : For now, the enhancement
of service by the codeshare agreement does not
impact either carrier's frequent flyer program.
- Members of each airline's loyalty program,
including Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Members,
will earn the currency of the marketing carrier.
In other words, Customers booking and purchasing
their flights through Southwest Airlines will
receive two Rapid Rewards credits for each codeshare
roundtrip.
- ATA Travel Awards Members will receive 500
points for codeshare roundtrips booked through
ATA and 1000 points if booked on ata.com.
- Customers in either airline's loyalty program
will not receive credit on both airlines for
travel on the codeshare, but rather the assigned
credit for travel on the carrier through which
the travel was booked and purchased.
- For example, if a Customer books on southwest.com
and flies roundtrip from Baltimore to Denver,
with a connection in Chicago, that Customer
will be awarded two credits on Southwest's Rapid
Rewards program.
- Southwest Rapid Rewards Awards will be available
for travel only on Southwest Airlines operated
service, and ATA Travel Awards will be available
for travel only on ATA operated service.
- Awards from either program are not valid for
travel on codeshare service.
