birth of SwissAir began when Ada Astra Aero
AG and Balai merged, but its unfortunate end
came right after the 2001 September 11 attacks
on the Twin-Towers.
Its end came about because
of SwissAir's financial trouble. It was not
until 2002 that the new SWISS carrier was unveiled.
Now, based in Basel, Swiss International Airlines
provides services to North America, Europe,
North Africa and the Far East.
